I Believe (2008)

This year's concert, I Believe, was inspired by what Mr Toh said to the first batch of Dunman Choristers, which contained the words "I Believe". With this inspirational message, they went on and became the first neighborhood school choir to achieve Gold for the Singapore Youth Festival Choral Competition.

I Believe, held on 8 April 2008, was a joint collaboration among Dunman Choir, St Anthony's Canossian Secondary School Choir, and Catholic Junior College Choir.

The three choirs had been working vigorously for three months, sacrificing their personal time for practices. However, they felt that it was all worth it.

Singing on stage was definitely a much different experience from singing in school, and performing to legions of people was simply nerve-wracking. However, majority felt that it was an exhilarating experience.

Dunman Choir performed Come Travel With Me, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Circle Of Life, Kasar Mie La Gaji and Ping An Ye. According to some blogs of both strangers and alumni, the performance proved to the audience that Dunman Choir was indeed an outstanding, versatile choir.

After Dunman Choir's performance, a combined choir from all three choirs performed a finale, singing I Believe In Springtime and One Day More from Les Miserables. Upon hearing the two songs, the audience roared with approval of how beautifully the three choirs sang.

After the finale, there was an encore requested by popular demand. The combined choir then sang An Irish Blessing to bid the audience farewell.

At the end of the concert, everyone went home, taking along with them a valuable experience of performing on stage.
